KANANASKIS – The body of a 66-year-old man was found Friday (July 12), a week after he was overdue from hiking in the Kananaskis Country wilderness, according to police.
The hiker, identified by RCMP as Milenko Todic of Edmonton, was reported missing by family on July 6. He had been hiking at Holy Cross Mountain, near Highway 541 in Kananaskis.
Alberta RCMP said search teams discovered the body in the area Todic was hiking in.
“The circumstances surrounding his death are not deemed to be suspicious,” RCMP Alberta said on social media. “Our sincerest condolences go out to Milenko's family and friends.”
