Talk about stepping up to help out. We at RMO feel a valleywide tip of the hat is due to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) Charitable Foundation for its $25,000 donation to the Banff YWCA’s women’s shelter program (page 18).

We’re not sure the announcement that a public information process in regard to the reintroduction of bison in Banff National Park will take place really required the presence of the minister in charge of Parks, but at least things are moving forward.

The issue of Banff staffers leaving store doors open to attract customers in winter raises several interesting issues.

If the valley’s cold snap does nothing else, the frigid weather at least helps illustrate how valuable a regional transit system will be once it’s in place.

It’s good to see Tourism Canmore Kananaskis and the Canmore Economic Development Authority have joined forces. Being that the two group’s efforts are inextricably linked due to Canmore’s dependence on tourism, it seems a natural fit.
