BOW VALLEY – Out of the red but not out of the woods, according to Canadian Rockies Public Schools (CRPS) superintendent of schools Chris MacPhee’s assessment of the division’s 2017-18 audited financials.

With student enrolment on the decline for many public schools in rural Alberta and public tax dollars at a premium, a campaign was recently launched to promote the formation of a single public education system.

CANMORE – They may still be in high school, but a group of students from Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy is making waves in the scientific world trying to tackle real-world problems using synthetic biology.

BOW VALLEY – Forty-seven more students enrolled with the Canadian Rockies Public School (CRPS) division than the school board anticipated in its 2018-19 budget, however, enrolment is still down compared to last year.

CANMORE – As rural school boards across the province struggle with declining enrollment and finding ways to balance their budgets, the Canadian Rockies Public School (CRPS) division is trying a different approach to generate additional revenue.

BOW VALLEY – The 2018-19 school year is off to a good start. A few days before school officially got underway, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy and Exshaw School each received $5,000 to help fund two innovative student-led projects.

BOW VALLEY – The Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation will donate more than $170,000 to the Canadian Rockies Public School (CRPS) division for the 2018-19 school year to support students across the division.
