LETTER: The alarm has been sounded. Premier Danielle Smith's semi-secret of how she is going to blow up Alberta Health Services (AHS) is out of the bag.

LETTER: Nothing is owned. When we finally actually do get it, we’ll feel remorse, realizing how far afield we’ve been from our birthright, which is to respectfully care for what we have the privilege of being amidst.

LETTER: In recent years, as Banff has been developed into a city, I have often pondered an important question: who actually owns Banff?

LETTER: The smell is unacceptable in a town with a tax base as wealthy as ours.

LETTER: It’s time for our community, local councils, First Nations partners, and Members of Parliament to demand real action. We need solid strategies to prevent the next conflagration, learning from our First Nations partners, instead of just getting out of the way.

LETTER: The time for simply accepting these totally preventable tragedies as inevitable or talking about the situation is over. Parks Canada completed the necessary design and environmental impact assessments back in 2019. The time has now come to act and implement.

LETTER: It’s remarkable how many people have approached me since the Jasper evacuation – including people I’d never met before – openly expressing their anxiety.

LETTER: Returning from Calgary the other day, traffic on Bow Valley Trail going West was backed up all the way to NAPA Automotive.

LETTER: Instead, let’s focus on maintaining the livability and safety of our town for current residents, preserving what makes Canmore a wonderful place to call home.

LETTER: When is Canmore’s mayor and council as well as Town administration going to concede the intersection beside the A&W at Bow Valley Trail and Railway Avenue/Benchlands Trail simply does not work?
