LETTER: Bottom line, in Parks Canada’s own words “Allowing everyone to access our destinations and participate in our activities”.

LETTER: I believe Town council needs to start focusing on the "must haves" and defer the "wants" and "new initiatives" until they can be fit in with an annual budget that keeps annual property tax increases a lot lower than in recent years.

LETTER: In my view, Parks Canada should also adopt a seasonal closure of the section between Castle Junction and Baker Creek.

LETTER: We must start to realize we cannot continue to push our economic agenda against all odds and at the same time hope somehow our kids will be able to enjoy clean water, air and soil, intact functioning ecosystems and maybe a grizzly bear or two in the future.

LETTER: What he fails to understand is the road is available to everyone to walk, hike, run, cycle, scooter, skateboard, and even skate ski.

LETTER: Further, I hereby promise not to submit my uninformed and arbitrary commentary to any town policies in your town – Canmore – ever.

LETTER: The performative nature of Canmore’s mayor and council continues to grate, no more so than with the feeble excuses for not having fireworks to help celebrate Canada Day.

LETTER: Are we willing to accept the consequences and sacrifice this valley, or are we ready to go into action, individually and collectively to save this endangered space?

LETTER: Perhaps there’s a lesson here for all of us in these increasingly nasty times: to think twice before trying to diminish our fellow citizens through the use of scornful yet ultimately empty labels.

LETTER: To be honest, rather than give over the Parkway exclusively to cyclists, I would rather see Parks Canada tear up the road and return it to nature. When one is greedy, one gets nothing.
